Today I took my son to his Scout outings at JB Cemetery to remove Christmas Decorations from the headstone. Started with the opening ceremony raising the flag full mast with the bugle calls then lowered Half Mast with Taps, and a Prayer before we began.IMG_3136.JPG IMG_3144.JPG IMG_3146.JPG

I will be back there soon to lay my Uncle to rest, He served the Korean War on the front lines in the Marines.

Did he recently pass away?
I just found out, but he passed in November. He was Cremated ( My cousin, My Uncles son ) took him to live with him in Florida where he passed Peacefully from Pancreas Cancer. He will be bringing his ashes up and have them laid to rest with his wife who is already there. I was very close to my Uncle and miss him dearly, my favorite to visit since childhood. Heard a few good war stories from him about the front line.

Lots of great memories, Camping, summer visits ... I was planning to visit him in Florida this summer, but now I will visit my cousin still and catch up on lost times.
