We had a run in with my son's hearing aids and the dog. Apperently when I picked him up at night time the teacher put his aids in his front pocket on his book bag. We got home I sat the bag down like I always do and went back out the door. I come back and found his hearing aids on the floor. One of them in full the left one with a missing ear mold. The dog had pulled the ear mold off and chewed it up. Luckly for Lucky. (hehe) she didn't hurt the aid it's self. So now we gotta call the audi to get a new mold made. Bad mommy..need to pay more attention.

It just reminded me of growing up and trying to get an excuse for homework not being done...but teacher really the dog ate it..LOL
 
yes my previous dog did chew my ear mold and my brother's ear mold twice.... it made me very FURIOUS! :mad2:

my current dog doesn't and he knows better not to touch it. :cool2:
 
My sister's dog ate my hearing aid!

He chewed on my hearing aid, but my sister got it out of his mouth before the damage got worse. The only damage was teeth marks and the little door (that covers the 3-colored adjustment dials) won't stay on. Other than that it still worked. It continued to work for another 9 years. ;)

when i was 15, my dog got ahold of my hearing aids and let me tell you, i was *not* a happy camper. fortunately, nothing happened to them, but i panicked because i had no idea if my dog had damaged them. lucky for me, she didn't.
 
uh oh! My first dog ate half of the earmold off my left hearing aid... oooohhhhh man. since then, I've learned to put my hearing aids high up so my dog doesn't get it and try to eat it. He's always smelling my ears so... yeah. Dogs must like the smelly earwaxy molds! lol

when it comes to hearing aids, dogs are also attracted by the high pitched noises they emit even when they are not turned on. as you may probably know, dogs have the ability to hear extremely high pitches, so it's no wonder that this is the case.
 
It does the same with my cats... :lol: I'm going to create a thread soon about the cat because your thread is about dog...
 
My own dog too ate my ha and earmold..luckily earmold was easy to replace , aid was no damage..just a bit of marks on it..LOL! since then I always put it out of reach!
 
It's happened to anyone!! :roll: My dog ate whole raw hot dogs and Half lemon cake!! :giggle:
