Is it just me, or has CW quit captioning their shows? I sat down to watch and enjoy Smallville and Supernatural last Thursday, and what do you know! NO CAPTIONS! the week before, there were captions, so why none last week? What happened? Seems like most other shows on that station aren't captioned either. I'm not very happy at all.

Both Smallville and Supernatural were closed captioned in Reno, NV. Before blaming CW, it's most likely your local station. Write an e-mail to them.

this is why I asked if it was just me or not. Will be writing the local station about this.

What is CW?

You should check with the local station before blaming the television shows.

Yes, but before you start shooting a letter to the local affiliate - what I would suggest for you to do first is to check other TVs to see if they are CC'd or not.

You could download (torrent) missed smallvilles show into your pc and watch it.. I did that few times on few shows that didnt show CC.

How can you not aware of CW while it's one of major network?

Of course, I do see the problem with most show on CW that CC appear scramble. Therefore, I no longer trust to watch on schedule. Prefer season DVD. I'm current on Smallville Season 2 :) few seasons to go. la la la

done that, other tvs show no captions for the CW channel.
have had some local friends check their TVs too, no captions.

Closed Caption equipment at local CW station is probably down or broken. It does not matter whether CW is a major network or not. Write an e-mail to your local CW station. Local stations are usually pretty prompt on responding. I always get very quick response from my local stations.
