I was looking at the Federal Register website and this was up on the front page:

I was looking for something else but it def caught my eye. A little more looking around and I saw that Matt Drudge had nosed it out for his Report a couple of weeks ago.

its designed with NO needle, magnets instruments all LCDs so its effectively a fly-by-wire
probably probably hazardous, but they says it reduced cost of building and reduced weight drastically , probably true, but i feel its not the whole story....

There's nothing inherently unsafe about fly by wire systems, they've got tons of redundancies and backups built in. Hydraulics or cables are just as likely to break.
