I'm surprised our resident Deaf news guru, Ms. Delectable, hasn't picked this one up yet. A local Deaf Teacher was recently made Teacher of the Year at his school, and is in the running for district-wide Teacher of the Year honors within Miami-Dade County. Congrats!

A big congrats to John Jebain!!!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful news Vinny. It is great to see someone being praised for the job despite having no speech skills. It shows that speech skills are not everything in a Deaf person's life.
 
Obviously this picece of new didn't appear in my mailbox. But glad you put this up.

Good on Jebain! Heard of that name somewhere in the articles I posted eons ago, I think.
