Hello all!
It's tax time.
Well, I was reading through the IRS's 30+ page PDF document on transportation expenses.
Here's my situation: I interpret at a school 5 days a week, drive 67 miles round trip, and do not get mileage reimbursement. I also work 2 nights a week at 2 other schools, and do get mileage reimbursement.
I've figured that all locations are considered "temporary work locations" by the IRS's definition, but I'm not sure if they reside in the "metro" area (33 miles one way).
Do you claim transportation expenses on your taxes for similar situations?
