I left my car at home because I want to save gas. Instead of taking a bus or train, sometimes

do you take a bus or train?

Oh I would if gas price is very high like over 3.00 or higher....but now it is getting cheaper, I don't mind drive. IF I live in Los Angeles or Bay area..forget it, I'll take train. I wouldn't want to deal with traffic!

Usually prefer a car but the bus is ok when not too cold. If I lived in more of a city I would take a bus or train.

must have car cos we live out in a small town and sorta a country-like home. no bus or train would have to call for cab $$$ or hitchhike eh

I would LOVE to ride the train! I am really dissappointed that Seattle didn't get one over the years and now we're getting light rail and the system that covers the metro area won't happen til about 2025. I'm sooooo sick of the traffic!!!!!!!!!!!!

No bus or train route to work for me. The only good news is that my work is only 3 miles from home. I would walk all the way, but unfortunately 1/2 of the route I use aint got sidewalks that every time I see a car headed my way I gotta dive for cover! So I gotta drive no matter rain or shine.

yes I take bus to NYC and then take subway down to my work. Whole thing takes 1.5 hours... :mad2: If I ride motorcycle - it'll take about 15-20 min but toll costs $6 per day.

Bus is $1.55 per day (one way) and Subway costs me $40.50 per month unlimited rides.

When I lived in the Atlanta area, I rode on the buses and subways only if I am going to Atlanta. The county where I used to live has its own mass transit system though I never rode it to anywhere in the county other than going directly to one of the subway station in Atlanta.

No. There is no bus or train available for me.

I take both bus and train in my home town. :)

There is a bus route from my home to work, but unfortunately, the last bus pick up is about 10pm so I work til sometime 11pm so I'm out of luck with that, and no train route to my work area either. So leaves me no choice but to drive 17 miles one way. If I'm going to airport, then I'm taking a transit train since it has a direct train straight to the airport :)

I take a bus to work and home everyday except for weekend. Bus stop is just a few minutes walk from my home. Ride to work is about 20 mins. It is cheaper to go by bus cos car parking in the city is too expensive.

I prefer to drive the car due my comfort with preference.

There's bus route but just off from neighborhood area, not good service due long wait and waste of time when arrive in other area, no train route except for commuter train that's located and too far to walk.

In LA, they has good public transportation but train lines are limited, couldn't across in all neighborhood, whatever you want goes and there's plenty of bus routes in all neighborhood. If I live here then I will still prefer to drive in some cases and support to increase more lines to reduce of traffic.

Yeah, the one in LA is improving. I believe they are planning a massive one in couple of years. It probably won't that huge like that of NYC/NJ, Philadephia, San Francisco, etc, etc.

I ride the Metrolink busses and trains and they have been full the past few months. So I am puzzled and disappointed that a bill to update its services was voted down. Now Metrolink will increase fares and cut services. :(

New Expo Line (light rail) will be expected to open in 2010 or earlier and new extension for Gold Line will complete in 2009.

LA is keeping expands more metro lines, I'm expect it would be almost anywhere by 2030, not all suburbs over LA metro could get one, except for buses or commuter train but they could get rapid buses, it's depends on budget.

Neither, why? Here we rarely see traffic jams. It only happens when idiots causes accident, or abruptly road construction.

If I had gone to bus to where my work is, it will take me an hour and half to get there, comparing to 15 min drive. Plus, there is almost zero bus service down there where I work. So, moot point therefore I drive!

From here to my work is 11 miles (78% is highway), only take me 15 minutes to get there.
