Tactical hand signals

These are tactical hand signals for the police and military. They are NOT ASL (although some may look familiar to ASL users). I just thought it was interesting.

Supposedly tactile signs are part of ASL-according comments here in AllDeaf.com.

Not sure how a Blind/Deaf person can "understand" facial expressions which ostensibly "changes the meaning of hand signs"?

aside; there was a Blind/Deaf person in one of my classes at Canadian Hearing Society/Toronto Hearing Help classes. A person was using a finger on that lady's palm-to "inform" her of what was spoken in the class. To me- clearly was not ASL signs. Which is not unusual as how can a Blind/Deaf "see" hand signs?

These videos show "tactical" hand signals not "tactile" signs. Obviously, you didn't view videos.
 
Reba: correct. You tube presentation doesn't "work very well" on this computer.

interesting different, Police different sign language pretty interesting! sound look likes bit sign language!
