I am going to see if the Walgreen in my city has this wrapping paper too.

I hope this was a mistake and not done as an Anti Semitic message .

What symbol Jewish dislikes about. I must have missed the history

Thanks Botti. Ohhhh I see it now. Of course. Remove those wrappers. it's disrespect!

The movie 'The Diary of Anne Frank ' is on TV and I tried to watch some but I could not do not. I know the story all to well and I read the book . It made me too sad and angry .

At first, I couldn't see the swatistaks but I see them. I don't think it was intentional but if the Jewish community feels uncomfortable with them, then they should be respected.

damn nazi for ruining swastika as it's an important symbol in hinduism and buddhism

And a tribe of Native Americans used it too . I believe that is what that damn Nazi copied it from.

well it's not exactly a swastika. it LOOKS like it.

I think they did it on purpose. Nazi history is awful. At first I didn't see it because I dudnt look carefully until bott pointed it out. Right away I see it. I realize that is too obviously

Yeah, both Natives and India Indians use symbology simlair to the swastika, although they are not precisely swastika

They ruined it for non Nazi Germans too. It's hard to show pride in your German ancestry without looking like a racist even if your ancestors had nothing to do with the war.

I would never have a swastika even though it is an ancient symbol because of what the Natzis turned it into.

I'm glad they are removing the paper even if it was an accident.

The symbol experienced a resurgence in the late nineteenth century, following extensive archeological work such as that of the famous archeologist Heinrich Schliemann. Schliemann discovered the hooked cross on the site of ancient Troy. He connected it with similar shapes found on pottery in Germany and speculated that it was a “significant religious symbol of our remote ancestors.”

Where is the swastika symbol on the paper?

I honestly have a hard time trying to find it, and in the article some say it's not a swastika so can someone outline a swastika on that paper in the article as I don't even see the patterning.

I know that ,I read years ago Hitler got the ides from the Native Americans and made it look the way he wanted it to look. He stole the idea from the Native American is what I read so of course it would not like just liker their.

http://nativeamericanjewelrytips.wo...native-american-symbol-whirling-log-swastika/ He use the Hopi tribe 'swastika' and made it look a little difference .

I think you are getting confused with Indians from India.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

"The use of the swastika was incorporated by Nazi theorists with their conjecture of Aryan cultural descent of the German people. Following the Nordicist version of the Aryan invasion theory, the Nazis claimed that the early Aryans of India, from whose Vedic tradition the swastika sprang, were the prototypical white invaders. The concept of racial hygiene was an ideology central to Nazism, though it is now considered unscientific.[75][76] For Alfred Rosenberg, the Aryans of India were both a model to be imitated and a warning of the dangers of the spiritual and racial "confusion" that, he believed, arose from the close proximity of races. Thus, they saw fit to co-opt the sign as a symbol of the Aryan master race. The use of the swastika as a symbol of the Aryan race dates back to writings of Emile Burnouf. Following many other writers, the German nationalist poet Guido von List believed it to be a uniquely Aryan symbol."

The swastika was used in many parts of the world including the Germanic people before Hitler.
