I find it shocking how much people are repeating a blatant and obvious smear against a mother who has had to bear the horrid burden of the ultimate sacrifice of her child for the nation.

Cindy did not praise Bush.
The nation owes her, and in return she gets smeared and personally attacked? That is beyond low.
actually... lower is...

Mowing down and destroying memorial crosses for fallen soldiers.
Its not about Cindy, no matter now much some want to attack and lay every problem and sin and fault on her. Its about her son.
About all the daughters and sons that have died.
Cindy is just one member of a group called Gold Star Families for Peace They have a list of members, all of them family and relatives of fallen soldiers.
They have also been joined by Veteran's for Peace (VFP), Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW). Families, Soldiers and veterans.
Its about our heroes, demanding answers.
Smearing her? mowing down crosses? Ignoring soldiers' families in order to go to a political fundraiser?
Yellow ribbons do not trump gold stars, nor soldiers bars. They do not trump body bags. They do not trump betrayal.
This is not about politics, or positions, it is about mothers and families asking for answers.
