Suicide in Montana

That is sad but I don't think single payer health care is the total solution for suicide.

That's very sad news. :(

That why I prefer single payer or Medicare for everyone, over Obamacare.

I agreed with you 100%

Today medical coverage system in America is insanely expensive, the only winners I know is these attorneys. The truth is, most insurance companies would do anything to avoid paying out claims, relied on attorney to see if they dont have to pay and get away with it, that is what is costing our society dearly in long run. Have seen enough to understand whats going on. Having single payer system eliminates need of attorney, and legal shyt involved. Yes, this includes workers compensation, and motor vehicle which I see is a waste of money.

Pretty much like no fault health insurance coverage is perfect, EVERYONE shares the expenses including corporations because often corporation is the cause of some problems and having them getting away with is NOT acceptable. For instance, Flint Michigan where they have serious crisis causing people to get sick... who pay for it? Corporations getting free ticket out of liability? I don't think so.

Certainly the whole health care/insurance plays a big part in it but that's not the only reason why there is a big uptick in suicides. It's a lot of things- lessening or no pensions to speak of, too small SS, SSI and SSDI income, difficulty in finding jobs (especially as you get older), in some cases addiction, reduction of salary (this just happened to a friend of mine) and watching bills go sky high(same friend has ridiculously high electric, water and mobile phone bills- none of which SHOULD be that high).

I too think single payer can help but as Reba said- that's not the total solution. A lot more has to be done- mainly improving mental health services.
