Static Electricity & Cow Licks....grrrr!

My Kitty jumps every time I pet her...and the cow lick I have in the back of my hair?...During the winter months, it's so unruly and sticks up/out.....I've used water...then hair spray (which I hate hair spray)...it always comes back up....Any good solutions for a Cow Lick? I'm about to shave my head.

Maybe get a humidifier - which sounds odd for a FL home.

I use a pomade, make sure it's a silicone based serum, just don't use too much. If your fly-away isn't that bad, use a dryer sheet. I've always hated hairspray, as soon as My hair gets moist from condensation, it's back to where it started!
