Starting an Interpreting Agency...

I am thinking about starting an interpreting agency. What advice can you share with me? I have been an interpreter for 15 years and have worked with many agencies throughout the country...so I have ideas of what I want to do.

What I am wondering is...who do I call to get the contracts in place? What companies should I target? Thanks for your advice and feedback!

Why do you want to start an agency? Is the current Deaf pop underserved because of a lack of agency? Are interpreters mad at existing agencies? Think it'll be a money maker?

I'd start with a special area of focus. Medical, legal, etc and go after those companies.
