Ever see those sci-fi movies with spaceships and wonder how big those ships were compared to other ships from other movies or television shows?

Well, check these out...

These are smaller ships. 10 pixels = 1 meter

These are much bigger... including Death Star! 1 pixel = 2,000 meters = 2 kilometers

Oh wow! That is cool! Thanks for showing us that link.
You're welcome.

When they do movies, they never really do a good view of how big those ships really are.

For instance, I didn't think the Star Destroyer from Star Wars was that big. Now, I see it's HUGE compared to the Enterprise from Star Trek... which is TINY!

I had no idea it was that huge also! Don't they have even bigger one than one on the chart? Seems like I remember one even bigger.

Here's a vid that will pit them all against each other!

I am wrong, That is the biggest one. I found the one I'm thinking of that is quite smaller but still is huge compared to Han Solo's ship.

Gee... whoever made that video obviously has way too much time on his hands!

Wow, that clip had me laughing big time. Big kudos to S.O.B. for putting it up. I was literally on the floor the part where the walker/transport got shot down, it just looked so ludicrous.

That had to have been a lot of damn model rendering.. I mess with it from time to time and it's not easy for beginners and intermediates even to have that quality along with that duration shown.

Just glad there's still a good fanbase out there!

Actually, the Borg Tactical Cube is on there. Look at the lower right... there's 6 different Borg ships.
Im talking about Borg Tactical Fusion Cube. It's made from eight cubes fused together to create 'superweapon'.
Look.

Large Cube in picture appears to be Locutus' Cube (also showed in ST: TNG and ST Armada)

That galanitic empire ship from star wars is 10 miles long! Now, that's gigantic and if it was in real life then it would take forever to build and cost trillions to spend on construction.

Ah, okay...

Why don't you contact the guy that created the picture and have him add that? If you know the measurements, that's even better. :)

Now think about the Death Star! It would put the empire ship to shame!

Not the IBM ones! IBM Death Stars couldn't hold to the a speck in the galaxy like a Jawa versus the Millennium Falcon.
(Inside joke if you got it)

They say that the Death Star is approximately the same size as the moon.

That would mean the Death Star is approximately 3,500 meters.

The Star Destroyer 17,484 meters or 17.484 meters. That means the Death Star is over 200 times bigger than the Star Destroyer.
