I talked to my therapist about money and getting job. I'm really worried about these things with my hearing loss. My therapist suggested that I apply for SSI until I find work. I didn't even know about SSI and am still not sure what it is and how it works. How does the process work to apply and should I apply? Right now, I live with my parents and they take of me.

If you have worked previously- also look into SSDI. I've learned a LOT about SSI and SSDI over the last couple of years...
