I agree there are too many people who need it. I don't think deafness or blindness in and of themselves should be reasons for disability. eople who are only deaf, only blind, or only deafblind can still work with the right technology. I think it's backwards that it's easiest to get SSI as a legally blind or deaf person but much more difficult to get it with a chronic pain condition or psychological conditions that can be very incapacitating.
