A true American hero gone. Flew 59combat missions in WWII, flew in the Korean with Ted Williams as his wingman, Set a record in 1957, for the fastest coast to coast flight(3 hrs 23min) flying supersonic the entire way in a F-8 Crusader, flew the third Mercury mission on Friendship 7 which was the first US mission to orbit the Earth , served in the Senate for 4 terms, went back into space at the age of 77 aboard the shuttle Discovery for a 9 day mission. The man truly had the Right Stuff. RIP John Glenn.
