I've been offered a radio aid by the Disabled Student's Allowance. They advised the Smartlink+ because it has a zoom feature (and bluetooth) but other parts of it's tech spec are behind.
My first and third radio aids, many years ago, had zoom but my second and favourite did not.
There's a bunch of features I like on the body worn Genie including:
- Separate microphone - less shuffling
- Can be used without clip on shoe/receiver combo
- Can use with headphones if HA battery goes flat
- Not small - harder to lose
- Longer battery life
- Longer range
- Multiple/Flexible ways to wear it
I'd love to wear it with a t/loop neck hoop, but I've heard these can influence the sound quality when moving my head, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this?
If not, I think I'd wear it with direct input leads as I really don't want recievers and shoes.
