I'd really love to learn some sign languages, and i find it really awesome and pretty useful.

Can anybody tell me what does that pic mean?????

Since this is a still photo, it could mean interpreter, interpreting, interpretation, and a slim possibility that it could mean "exchange", or "in place of" or "instead" and a few other possibilities.....

Thanks for all the replies :) , and i have to say the link u guys gave me is awesome... :eek2:

Could someone show me how to do the word 'language' in sign lanuguage??? if u r not shy to show yr hands here :ty:

There could be a strong possiblity if the hands are moving then it could be constructed as:

join or chain

but the problem here is that the thumb and the finger would have to go inside to form a ring of a circle in order for that to work and be understood as join or chain.

for that definitions - both of the hands would have to be in the same orientation - '3 fingers pointing away from body'

look up in any online lesson and you'll find the info :)

Depending on the context, I would guess it is most likely a form of "interpret" or "interpreter". The type of photo that it is looks more like an illustration commonly used for labelling an interpreting service rather than a sign "dictionary" illustration. What was the original source? Was it in a series, a stand-alone graphic, or what?
