Sorenson may fail to repay the loan in October 2014.

serves them right. this shows even sorenson is not bulletproof.

I'm not surprised. I've never liked their marketing approaches. They screwed me over several time as well as constant harassment.

If they have to repay their loan on time, they will need to cut down their operating and service costs.

it is surprised for me! we don't know happened again serious!! they serious again that is why! big serious. It is reason.

Considering that they purportedly have 83% of the market share and if they can't pay their debts, well, then..........makes ya wonder......

Another way of looking at this: They purportedly take in around 60 million dollars a year so why are they taking out what appears to be a 730 million dollar loan? Something not right about this so I guess I'll assume there's lots I don't know.......

Maybe we leave it up to qwert123 for his explanation on this. :laugh2:

Well I am not surprise if they are expecting to layoff the employee again happen like in 2010.

Yes, if they to do it, they will do it.

That's seems to be their answer isn't it?! They already got rid of ALL of the higher paid phone tech supports and now using monkeys at lower pay. They based their new support on the old tech support and minimized it to the point they dont need techs that knows and do everything. they separated a lot of the operations for lower cost.

Sorenson KNEW about this coming because they already cried to us about fund rates being cut. They adjusted a little by laying off people, but still it wasnt enough for the loans and investors. remember the first scare? the deaf rallied to keep the rates up first time. Second time didnt work. fool me once, shame on me. fool me twice, shame on you. Its karma since they havent been honest with any of the workers in person. look at sip... dead since they didnt want to fight for it and numbers werent there. VRS was supposed to be thier cash cow and sip to be supplemental income. with lots of money owed to TRS on sip side, they folded it but the debt is still looming over thier heads.

I bet that Sorenson will lay off workers, interpreters, and other technical people. OR they could file banktruptcy eventually (with a possibility of closing business).

If Sorenson closes its business for good, then I can use Convo mainly (and rarely use Purple). ZVRS? No thanks.

Will Sorenson close other call center in Atlanta, Rochester, NY, etc for the reason? :dunno:

close call center? they could. will they? depends on the numbers. do the # of terps and calls they take work out as best money used wisely? They could just as easily shutdown the tech support center in rochester and condense to utah. It depends on alot of things.

If they follow suit like kodak, they could file bankruptcy but I doubt they will anytime soon. I also don't think sorenson will shutdown for good either because they will let people go and cut services before that even happens. Its millions dollar business so no they wont shutdown. You will see more real continuous decline in services first, not happening yet, but they are on the path.

Think about it guys, where does money come from? who is controlling that amount of money? same place as ZVRS,convo, purple etc. Did they go out of business? no not yet, Sorenson will just become lean and leaner until they are equal to other VRS'es due to the poor decision planning on sorenson part.

SO .. I wouldnt worry about sorenson shutting down. right now I tend to prefer zvrs equipment- so no sorenson preference here.

I wonder if public utilities protections apply to them as they do to Verizon, AT&T, and local telcos? Things to protect the customers.

good question. given that the VRS industry is "new" , I dont see a reference to this tied to VRS. We could band together and file a class action suit if it comes down to it.

Keep going drama on this forum! Showtime only happens here.

I'm still loyal to Golden S.

SVRS installers are annoying me for offer free 22" HDTV and nTouch device during they woke of switched port to ZVRS and free iPad 2. They send email, text me. I ignored it and then, they visited my home without appointments...
I feel so harassment. I told them GET LOST! I don't want too many VP devices!
