car while I was driving in a parking lot tonight . I noticed a green dot floating around in my car and it was almost aimed right into my rearview mirror. It could had bounce right into my eyes! I was so pissed off as this could had cause had an accident or hit a person. What a damn jackass that person is! I wish I could found where the person was so I could reported them to cops.

Don't know about the "green"...but I have several "red" ones that I tease my cat with.....

Anyhow, that would sort of give me the "creeps".....probably some kid having fun....(hopefully)...have you pissed off anybody lately?...:giggle:

It is very dangerous to do and I did have a disagreement with the guy that lives upstairs . I am trying to have this moved to the right thread . I know some airline pilot was flying a plane and some jackass shined a very powerful laser into his plane and the pilot had one eyes get badly burned .He was lucky he did not crash too.

Yeah, red laser pointers pointed away from your cat to play with are safe and fun. It's not the same pointing them at a human's face, and it's also dangerous to have your dog chase them, even though they seem to be enjoying themselves!

Really? Why is it dangerous fir a dog to chase them but not cats?

Yeah , I saw that on TV about a airplane pilot getting an eye burned tat way. That is what I was worried about that laser would hit my mirror and bounce into my eye . I was very pissed off and the person doing it had to have know it was dangerous to do.

This web site said if a laser is pointed at your eyes at night it can cause more damage , it was at getting dark at 4PM tonight.

How very irresponsible! so sorry it happened to you, Whatdidyousay!

I'm glad that you weren't hurt. That was a stupid and dangerous thing that someone did.

I called the cops when I got home to let them know someone was going around pointing a laser into people cars. I don't have a cell phone and stores will not call the cops for you. I am glad my dog Marty did not get the laser in his eyes he was in the back seat.

Basically, it's dangerous to use with dogs because it can trigger obsessive compulsive behavior with them. It's worse with some breeds, like hunting breeds, ones that are always looking out for a critter to find. Once you use the laser, it can make the dog fixate on any bright spot or shadow that it sees, so a reflection of your watch on the wall or ceiling, the shadow of the dog itself on the wall or the ground, and they constantly try to catch that spot of light or shadow.

This was a dog who came into rescue with both cancer and a bad case of shadow chasing. You can see just how exhausted the dog is and he simply cannot stop what he's doing. This was taken a few years ago, he had medication and behavioral therapy (lots of it) to make his life easier for him.

You can see how utterly exhausted the dog is but he can't help himself.

When I was short staffed in the Pharmacy, I couldn't keep leaving to show people where stuff was. Well I got a red pointer light and would show them from the pharmacy exactly were there product was. I didn't do it very often but hey when your short staffed you improvise. But, shining these lights into someones face is dangerous.

The red ones could actually scare the daylights out of some people....thinking they are about to get Shot....
