My brother in law is very good at skiing, his level is advanced (mountain express, see the map below). I couldn't believe when I saw soooooo high mountain, I'm like that freaked me out. I'm like a chicken cluck cluck cluck!

I could ski at just beginner, It was fun experienced ski. Of course, I fell again and again and almost hit the pole but I didn't hit the pole, whew!. I practiced again and again then I'm getting good at skiing but I refused to go on mountain express.

Where do you want to start with? Basic, Medium or Advanced?

I suck at skiing, the last time I ever went was with a church group, I kept falling down, had trouble getting up. :giggle:

I'm like a ski instructor without certification(Advanced). My last student was a friend from Malaysia. She's a great skier now, living out in Colorado.

My former stepdad taught us to ski when we were toddlers. We went all the time most of our lives. Since I moved to Fl, I skied only three times. Oh darn. I will try again when we can afford to take the kids out west with us. For me, I've been enjoying other activities so I didn't miss skiing so badly.

My former stepdad just about given up trying to get me to ski with him--so he's coming down in Feb to see us instead!! He's in his early 80's and still skis! I'd LOVE to go skiing this winter but who's rolling in dough? Not everyone.....Such a hard time for all.

I didn't click on the link, but I would guess I fall somewhere between Intermediate and Advanced. I live in Minnesota where there are no mountains, only ski resorts with HILLS as big as can be found here. They label the hills anywhere from basic (beginner) to black diamond (which still has cliffs and many trees) and is as tough as can be found here in MN, and I can handle the black diamond hills without a problem at all. I love the rush that comes with going down one of those! Since I haven't been on a real mountain yet, I don't know what to say of my mountain skiing skills. But I love skiing ! :)

Never went and I wont go. My cousin went for the first time and she broke her leg. :giggle: My brother goes to ski all the times in NH but never visit me. Darn him. Gotta hack him in the head. :giggle:

i fall between intermediate and advanced (more towards advanced).

i've been downhill skiing for the past 21 years.

i should mention that i am totally blind and use a ski guide when going downhill skiing. i always wear a florescent ski vest that says i'm a blind skier and ski helmet to protect my head.

alleycat,

i know what you mean about the rush of going down a slope and leaning from one side to the other to gain momentum and speed. i love it!! :D

I am more intermediate, but can handle the advance if my skiiers group really want to.

I just like down curvy and smooth, easier to enjoy than steepy or bumpy. :)

Triple black diamond.
Bumpy hills are my favorite, because snowboarders can't even do it. :P

i way below beginner but i am not much a chicken that i would like to ski again as i almost never ski only once i did was when i was kid but not after that soo
i will whack my brother since he is much a skier than i am to take me skii sometimes.

Aw, I would love to learn how to do Skiing and Snowboard!

Anyone who would admit to teach me how to do them?! :P

Never tried on skiing or snowboarding. Don't think half inches snow in Texas can help that much

i'm a noob but going to snowboarding this sunday at Blue Mountain in PA.

I would say very experinced, I had skied since i could walk, i can ski double black, and off piste i am not afraid of trying new piste. I had skied down the wall (morzine, france) and the face (verbier, switerland) both vertically steep piste and heavily moguled which is not for the faint hearted!!
My brother is an Canadian ski instructor!! and he's british, he's not in canada this season due to his job and he broke his wrist ice skating in London.

Looked at the piste map you put on, I would love to do it.

I learned snow skiing when I was 19/20 years old for first time. So it would be beginner and intermediate level for me. I haven't done the advanced level and also I haven't done snow skiing for ages.

Someday I'll hit the mountains and go skiing again.

I was bad at skiiing because I kept falling down and it was very difficult for me to get up. Damn it. :giggle: I never bothered to learn how to ski again BUT I am good at Cross-country skiing. I remember it was fun. My last time was back in 1984 in Stowe, Vermont. I will plan to go back there again in the near future. :D
