How do you get your ear mold from slipping out. Should I get it resized smaller?

There are several types of ear molds being made. Bottom line is if your mold is backing out of your ear then you should see your audiologist about this problem as your mold isn't fitting correctly. A correctly fitted mold should stay put once inserted into the ear.

I have molds that backs out a little but they are 5 years old so I'm getting new ones made in a couple of weeks.

If you lose weight your ear mold can slip out, I had an elderly client that lost weight and her ear mold started to feedback from being too lose.

Earmolds come with a warranty. You should have had it re-done right away, unless this slipping out of your ear is new. If it's that new, there's a reason for it. Talk to your audiologist where you had them made, or your doctor if you've had a change in something.

If you gain or lose weight your mold might start slipping out. It could also be that the mold just needs to be replaced, how old is it?

Wow what an original comment! I wonder where you first heard this . :hmm:

I just moved to a new state so I have to search to see if there is an office here I can go to. I think I might just get a new set from the VA since I can't afford my left HA anyway.

Your post didn't didn't tell them that if you GAIN weight it also can slip out, I also told them that if it's old that could be the problem, maybe you should of mentioned that too! and then you would of saved me some time. Did we wake up grumpy this morning.

It's been sleeping since I got it. I've had it a year almost.

Has it always slipped out? If it has go back and have it remade. You also didn't say what type of mold it is. Best thing to do is go back to your audi and see if they can rework it or maybe order a new one. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to steal whatdidyousay's thunder.

No I read it, they just didn't give her enough information as to what could cause an earmold to slip out and so I gave her additional information. His problem is he's pissed because he didn't think of the other causes or he was too involved cleaning his guns to give a detailed answer.
