Well, nothing very original about making the sandwich, but it does look good. guess I'll have a grilled cheese for lunch.

I use to an iron to made a grilled cheese , I would put the sandwich in tin foil and turn up my iron . I like it with tomato soup .

Aside from the shredded cheese... nothing AH-MAZING about it.

Try making one with a waffle iron. lol yes we did that a few times. Not too bad. We also once used biscuits that my parents took home from a dinner from the night before- they were a fairly big size. Just open them, flip them so that the outside part is inside and the inside will touch the grill/pan- proceed as normal. If the rolls/biscuits are awesome already (like many restaurants' are) it's quite good.

Love sourdough. I've never made grilled cheese with that, but I have with other breads like french bread.

I've always prefer sourdough bread for grilled cheese, it tastes much better than white sandwich. French bread is another choice if there is no sourdough.
