You asked me why there was an interpreter section, and I explained why there was an interpreter section. The question you asked had nothing to do with you, and my reply had nothing to do with you.
This is exactly what happened in the thread you just referenced. Comments were made in a general way, and you took them personally and reacted defensively.
As far as the way I'm peceived around here, I have not only been actively involved with the deaf community for over 20 years, I have been a member of AD for some time. I've paid my dues. And I don't get defensive about things that aren't addressed to me personally.
You might want to keep in mind that acceptance in any cultural group is not a given simply because you express an interest. Acceptance must be earned, and it is not an overnight process. Complaining about the way hearing people are treated on a deaf forum is not exactly getting off to a good start.
