I was just looking at a sweatshirt on Amazon that reads "Warning: Deaf Pride". Should I buy this sweatshirt so customers, at the store, know I am HOH when I am working?

Really you saw! lol... Try find "Warning: HOH Pride?

Well, if I were you, I would not bother buying anything with that logo. Some hearing people could be offended and this could get you in trouble with your boss(es).

That would make a great gag gift for my deaf brother and good friend for Xmas. :)

SJCSue, I would check with your boss first if it is appropriate to wear it at work.

I love it! Will order one for my son for Christmas! Thanks for the info!

That is cool, but I think that might not be proper wear for work. It might be if it is a mellow exerimentbut think it might not. Should ask your boss abt it first. Unless that is how everyone else dresses to work.

This sounds like a gag gift, but not something I would wear for work. I think wearing something that emphasizes that I am deaf is offensive.

I used to work with a guy who was deaf. This was at a local grocery store. Someone insisted that he was given a special name tag with something like... "Hello, I am deaf and happy to assist you." It does seem nice, but at the same time... it's like asking for people's pity.

I like the sweatshirt.

One time, I made a small sign to put on my door of my office that said, "I am deaf and proud of it." My boss thought it was not appropiate (spl). That happened when I was very young and stupid.

Now, that would be a good idea to not to wear that in a place of employment. You could wear that outside of work. Just an idea...

I would think the shirt was funny, but I'm convinced supervisors are required to take courses "Humorless 101" and "Overreaction 101."

I'm Not Deaf, I Just Choose To Ignore You

I won't wearing a silly t-shirt written like that!!

Nah.. I do not like this..

I prefer Warning... Beware of Deaf!!!

:D

Lol, or "If you don't know any sign lanuage, or have no experience with deaf people, then get loss!"

Or

"Are you talking to me? I'm deaf!"

Or

"Yes, I'm deaf so what's your excuse?"

Or

"I'm deaf which meaning I cannot hear shit!"

:giggle:
