set off an security system?

I'm curious I read in internet somewhere said that CI will set off security system, I thought it's funny cuz its like ci can steal something so easily and show ci ID card and ppl will be like "ohh ok go ahead" haha
I'm curious what kind security system did you guys set off?

*for people with CI*
 
I think it depends on the electronics. I don't have a CI, but I do have an insulin pump and I do occasionally set off alarm systems with that.

I've been through airport and train security metal detectors on several occasions and have never set off an alarm.
 
It's only ever happened to me once, when I went to a baby store to get a car seat. I explained to them that I had a cochlear implant and that was fine. They knew what it was and it was no problem. I'm not 100% sure it was the CI but anyway no dramas.
 
It depends on the sensitivity and ability of the device to discern a CI.

I had to go into a courthouse a couple of years ago (about a month after I got mine) give support to somebody and I apparently set off the detector. A guard motioned me over and asked me about it. He saw my CI and I explained I have metal in my head and he simply said "Oh, go on about your business" and that was that. I didn't even have to show my CI card either. Ummm...thinking about that...is that a good thing or a bad thing...:whistle: LOL!!!

Security at a concert venue, a hand wand set it off, but they quickly ID'd it since it responded over my head.

Maybe that would have been a good time to make the security guy look at your ID card and you quipping, "Ya never know, man!"
 
Checked through security screening at airports world-wide. No alarm was setoff.

Checked through at two different court houses, nope, nada. Touchwood.

Checked through at a sporting venue using with a wand, nothing.

Checked through US embassy office. All clean and they dont even notice.
