Sega's Explosive E3 Announcement

Start the rumor mill, Sega has just announced a mystery briefing at E3 that could shock the world.

In less than two weeks time, on Wednesday, May 12, Sega will surprise the gaming world with an announcement from their booth at E3. According to an e-mail sent out to various media outlets this morning, the announcement will take place at 10:00 AM PST, and last for approximately 30 minutes. Sega is calling it an "Explosive Announcement Event".

In addition to the big announcement, the mystery briefing will also unveil the latest titles from Sega. Many people have speculated that Sega will announce Shenmue III exclusively for the Xbox, but the sheer magnitude of this event seems to point to something bigger. Stay with us as we'll have coverage of the event from the E3 show floor.

Whatcha think it would be? many hardcore Sega fans always kept saying "oh it gotta be a new console!!!" But sadly, Sega said it's MUCH more than that. but what?? would be a new release of Shenmue III? a new and improved version of Dreamcast (2?) or perhas Sega is an exclusive team to Nintendo? new release of more Dreamcast games?

bleh Sega said it's something that you will NEVER be likely to guess correctly and they wont tell us their biggest secret until May 12th...AARRRGH! I can't hold it any longer! I MUST KNOW! I DEMAND TO KNOW! I'M DYING TO KNOW!

Certainly, I'm not a big Sega fanboy but I loved most of their games that they've created over the years...tons of great games on Sega Genesis and on the Dreamcast (saturn? bleh)

However, it must be something REALLY good so tune in until May 12th, ladies and gentlemen. ;)
 
My input on the Sega E3 explosive Secret:

I think the Infinium Labs Phantom might be.....the new Dreamcast 2? or Sega jointly develop the xbox Next with M$?-Notice some similiar things especially the controllers between the original Dreamcast and the xbox. or even....*SHUDDER*....a merger between Sega and NINTENDO?!

But I see that as a long shot anyways. AFAIK I know that Outrun 2 is coming to the xbox as outlined in my Outrun 2 thread. But Shenmue 3 I do have a feeling that it will be the real fireworks in the annonucement at E3.
 
:WTF:...? I thought Monolith Productions is only one who working on that matrix game. I dont know that studio is involved with SEGA...:eek2:
 
Yeah so Sega is in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive for the Matrix online game. I mean, BIG whoop! :roll: Sega is still making games, no difference.

I was actually hoping that it would be a new console or something like that but I guess it'll never happen once in a life time.
