Season's 1st tropical storm could spin up near Carolinas this week

Colorado got snow! UGH!

Probably the mountains, and they love snow in the mountains.

yep.. probably coming from the mountains... that's actually normal for Colorado to get snow in May still (don't know where in CO the snow is today though). I remember seeing snow on the ground (not a lot- a dusting to half an inch maybe) in JUNE in Colorado Springs.

What does snow have to do with the tropical storm off the Carolinas though?

I saw snow on the mountain peaks in Nevada and California as I flew from Salt Lake City to San Jose.

That's so cool... I try to look for stuff like that when I fly- always fun to see what comes into view as you descend.

Since there were a lot of clouds too, it was sometimes hard to tell if I was looking at a clouds or snow.
Part of the trip the only thing I could see was white - lots and lots of white. Read an eBook since there wasn't anything to look for then.

Now, back to the topic of the tropics. Tropical storm, that is.
