I was sneeze so accidently on iMac and tried to wipe off with kleenex then I just like UGH at glass, it's scratch and tried to wipe so smooth with apple cloth then I feel nervous right now.

I called apple store and make appt at genius bar and would look at it, I was upset to see scratch on glass, it's relect with different colors (like rainbow) and that bother me. I had learned my mistake to not use kleenex anymore and rather to use apple cloth.

90 day warranty Apple can replace new defective. If you have AppleCare with 3 years, you don't need to worry about.

It's 1 year of warranty, I did read warranty manual, that came with iMac.

Nevermind, I found it wasn't scratch, I took Windex and clean it with soft cloth then it went off and it was from liquids that left on screen to make struck, that can clean it with chemical like glass cleaner then it worked.

I'm apologize for misunderstood with this thread, I thought it was scratch but it's not... I'm relieved now...

So it was just super snot, not a scratch.

Try cleaning glass with 1500 grit sandpaper and windex LOL. Kidding :hmm::rofl::rofl:

Maybe it's your snot got stuck on glass from sneezing and dried over the time till you use windex and soft cloth LOL.

Next time, pay attention what you got out of the box that comes with any electronics. The black square thingy (Apple cloth) was there for a reason. ;) Windex does wonders on glass.

I already did wiped it with apple cloth and won't remove the struck snot, it can be remove from chemical like glass or screen cleaner with soft cloth, that I did and it worked. I took apple cloth out with imac at same day after purchased.

Apple cloth is just work to remove the fingerprint or gease-like when touch on screen but snot then it would be mess up.

Maybe you sneeze a lot to make enough snot flying everywhere? :P

lol, yup...

I had bad cold in last week, that's not fun.

There's worst thing are some monitors at school, workplace and libraries have big fingerprint or blurry on screen then I have take out of tissue or paper towel to wipe it so hard, never wanted go to this place again, just glad to be on my own computer at home.

Yeah, I know what you mean there. I hate those annoying fingerprints on the middle of the screen, of course dirty ones or really oily prints. I have special cloth to clean LCD screens. :)

We have a HDTV at home, and a special cloth (microfiber, I think) came with it for cleaning purpose. It can only be cleaned with a dry cloth.

Ok, now... my thread is pointless then I would tell you about why.

I had found out that iMac (known as black and silver, or Alu) has scratch resistant (SiO²) glass that prevent from scratch, that what I found from Youtube.
