Scientist Teleport Matter More Than Three Feet

Yup, I have seen a brief TV news showing it about two months ago... so amazing! It's almost difficult for us to believe, huh? Let's see if they can make it much further in the near future.

Nice nice..
Although it's still at the atom level, they've got a ton of work to do. But I'm glad that it's finally visible that it may actually happen in the future, probably past our time. Though I don't know how it would be possible to move living cells based off these atoms, that's got to be the biggest tricky part. Once they can move an amoeba or bacteria over, then that is the biggest step.

They "teleported" information between photons and atoms. A lot of bizare things can happen in the quantum world. This is not so amazing and has been known for some time, though the 3 feet is a new record, only information from the photon was transfered from A to B. This technology may be useful in computer technology, but doubtful that matter can ever be teleported. Still a interesting read.

That s movie is "The Fly" which man who has finished inventing a teleport machine, tries the machine for the first time. When he turns it on, a fly flies in.
:Ohno: :laugh2:

Chevy, I wouldn't try the teleport since who knows where my body might end up.

I would love to see the proof in video and demo how it work from there to there.

when they advance up and they could teleport an apple or something, it would be awesome to see!

they could try teleport the apple and horsefly to see if it doesn't cause these hybrid.

Yes! It would have to be something they can easily study to see if any changes in its basic makeup or DNA changed. It would be so wonderful if they can actually do it with living creatures. But somehow I think that's still several decades away.

Well.. one thing I think I should add though.. The apple is actually 'alive', as it is a "living" plant organism. It contains the same cell walls, central vacuoles, cytoplasms, nucleus in every single cell inside of it.

Here is a picture of a cooked apple's cells at 100x magnification, courtesy of some university:

You can clearly notice the 2 remaining black nucleus spots in their respective cells there, signifying "life" in it.

Imagine me air quoting that there. Technically we don't view the apple as alive, but in the plant kingdom it is apart of a living and dying process. Thus, this technically would put me to believe that an apple is still considered a living creature -- if they're able to do it with bacteria/protists/etc, then they can definitely do it with an apple.

It may be a great medical device to teleport tumor cells without cutting open patient's body. Cuz if it can teleports 3 feet then it'll be worthy device.

I wouldn't try teleporting tho. It would be okay to teleport any non-living things like wood, plastic, ect..

I wonder would McDonald's would have new teleporting technology to teleport your order to your home without walking out of door? Also bank to teleport money without worry about robber breaking in banks  :giggle:
