Ok...

I know in GA and SC you can defend yourself... However, there is a maiming clause that can bite the victim in the rear.  The example that was given to me was if someone took out both eyes of an attacker, they could be hit for maiming because you made the blind. Yet, one eye was not and you are in the clear.

So... it begs the odd question... does this constitute as maiming?
