Hi obviously I am new here
I've have just been told I am hearing impaired (moderate hearing loss in right ear) I don't know how i feel about this. I know at least I have some hearing and there are ways to maximise what hearing I have but i guess it's still a shock. Strangely enough a few years ago i Studied Auslan (Australian Sign Language) at college and as well as learning the language I also learn't a lot about the deaf community. Though I can still communicate ok with hearing I don't have any contact with anyone who is hearing impaired so I guess that's why I here. I'm not sure where else to turn. My "hearing" friends don't seem to understand how this is a problem.
