About 62 percent of households headed up by illegal aliens living in the United States are on some form of welfare – more than twice the percentage of households headed up by native-born persons that receive government assistance.

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) just released a report detailing the amount of welfare used by illegal aliens in the U.S. Using 2012 data, the CIS analysis showed roughly 57 percent of households headed up by an illegal alien received food assistance, and about half had at least one member on Medicaid.

Comparatively, about 30 percent of households under a native-born person in the U.S. receive welfare. About 22 percent of these households get food assistance, and about 23 percent have at least one person on Medicaid.

CIS noted in its study that “illegal immigrant households primarily benefit from food programs and Medicaid through their U.S.-born children.”

The report also noted that about 87 percent of households headed by an illegal alien with children were on some form of government assistance.

Households under illegal aliens are less likely to receive cash welfare (five percent) or housing (four percent), CIS notes. This is likely because these types of welfare programs wouldn’t be as easily obtained through a U.S.-born child.

Illegal immigrants are ineligible to receive welfare and federal law banned immigrants (even legal or illegal) to receive welfare, except for emergencies.

They could possibly use stolen SSN and ID to be qualify welfare.

The DOJ could sue the state for give welfare to immigrants but they are too lazy.

I'm sure that California is #1 welfare for illegal immigrant.

Read it again. The U.S.-born children are receiving the benefits & the parents are benefitting from that.

We could end this tomorrow if our beloved leaders would just allow states to put on birth certificates ILLEGAL ALIEN NOT A CITIZEN. The flow at the boarders would end the day after the laws went into effect.

I doubt thats all that is needed to end the flow at the borders.

That is true. There are many easy ways to get benefits from us. A illegal Mexican-born brother personally told me he uses his Arizona-born brother's name and social security to start a dry cleaning business. That's how you make money.

A former special education teacher from CA was paid to teach a handicapped kid who didn't talk and was in wheelchair for the rest of his life. (he is a child of illegal parents). She said that illegal parents get LOTS of benefits to take care of their handicapped kid. I am not exaggerating.

I can go on and on.

Not a surprise.....and they get that welfare far easier than most Americans in dire need of assistance. This is why Mexico is glad to send them here and why we're going broke - and this isn't even talking about the majority that abuse welfare either. To say the system needs an overhaul is the understatement of the year.

It is depending on states but my state - no.

Liberal states make welfare more easier to access.

You means anchor babies?

Yep. My mother worked with hispanic patients for years and was told many times by her patients that once they had an american born child the doors were open to them as well as their extended family. Putting illegal alien, not an American citizen on their passport might not end the influx, but it would slow it down.
