Have you used Remote Desktop Connection from Mac or PC?

I use this app on my Mac to connect to my PC so I can set the task, such as download the app or use Steam to download the game when I was outside.

That's really cool feature.

Remote Desktop Connection? I don't use it long long long time ago. I use teamviewer and it's is very simple and dont deal with firewall setting.

I can connect to my laptop with my iPhone/iPad too :thumb:

RDP is nothing new. been using it for years . nice when things are setup the first time for anytime.

The trick really is either using built in RDP and knowing the port to setup on router for use on outside of your home network or take easy way out and use vnc or teamviewer. If you are going old school and what to improve security - just RDP from outside to a ported "RDP" pc and use that to rdp to any other interenally. For those tech savvy will know what I am talking about. :cool2:

Yeah, I use it all the time. If cloud computing becoming popular, the number of RDC will use less.

in the past, I use RDP and PCAnywhere for work. I hate need to guide newbie and set up the port. Teamviewer is much easier now.

I think today RDP is handy for server admin especially on corporate LAN, but few other usage unless can't install teamviewer.

I noticed RDP won't work if I'm at college campus, so I tried connect to my PC at home. :ugh:

Exactly! I just want save my gas and time. Too many customers do not know how to set up the port.

I used to have this years ago on my computer years ago when I was in college. It came in handy many times.

When I was in college, I was always having to get files from my computer (for class, friends, etc).

For instance, I met at a computer lab for my group project. I realized that I had forgotten a file for my group. So, I simply accessed my computer remotely and sent the file via email, which I could retrieve on the computer I was currently on.

One time, my roommate asked for a copy of a file that was on my computer. So, I told him to go ahead and put a blank CD in the disc drive and I would burn a CD for him. As soon as that was done, he got the burned CD and was on his way. ;)
