Remembering D-Day 70 years ago

I watched the news yesterday where the survivors of D-Day visited the site, and it was heart-rending. They truly made sacrifices that day and we must NEVER forget.
A few years ago my father visited sites he had bombed and he wept.
Only those who participated can truly understand.
God bless our precious veterans.

I watching it now.50miles of beach,it don't comprehend in my brain just how awfull it must have been.A cemetery not far from me with thousands and thousands of people who died on those beaches.
we owe them so much RIP

Wish it never happened. Sad… One member of my family tree was there and never come back. At least we throw out tyranny.

Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

These veteran paratroopers reunited in the Dakota plane they flew in on that day. Bravery personified.

I salute to those brave Allied soldiers who sacrificed that day to give freedom around the world.

My ex husband and I where driving back home and saw some fireworks going off and we stopped to watch . They where for the 50 anniversary of D Day and they had toy soldiers with parachutes falling from the sky for the kids . I had never seen a firework display as amazing as that one, I wish I gotten out of my car to get one of the toy soldiers , they where cool.
