Thank you Calvin for posting this thread.

Yes, I remember, and will never forget. :(

The images are burned into my memory and heart.

Thank you Calvin for positing this....I was thinking about that horrific morning all night.

We went to NY and visited the site when there was still just a huge hole there. A lot of the pictures of people missing were still in place. I would like to go back and see the new memorial and buildings one day.

:aw: yes, Calvin....

Hub and I were just talking about this now - where were you when?...and so on

I remember it very clear...my husband called me and said you better turn on the news something's happening. He was on his way to work. I turned on and saw and saw, saw the second tower fall and the people jumping and I hugged my dogs close to me and called my aunt in Cal <it was like 7 in the morning there> and my folks and told them I loved them. We had one vehicle that hub had taken to work so I sat and watched and watched.

We were supposed to go to dog training class that night and I called and asked if it was still on, people weren't sure but we went. I remember I wanted to bring both dogs to class that night as opposed to the only one who was actually in it because I wanted everybody close.
There was hysteria and lines at the gas stations. And I remember it being so...still that whole day. We lived in an urban area with lots of traffic and close to businesses and there was police and stuff and there were planes overheard sometimes and that day - nothing.

I remember my folks, who are in the late 70's and early 80's telling me - we will go on. The world will go on.

my son in india at the time, and town staying in were celebrating it...he was horrified to see them doing that

I think everyone who was old enough to understand what was going on will always remember exactly where they were when they found out about it. I was in high school and walked into my 6th period class (2nd class of the day, we had block scheduling) and everyone was watching the TV and we all saw the 2nd plane hit. Even though we weren't dismissed from school (we were in the midwest), not many teachers taught that day. They told us that this was something big (and terrible) and that this was something we will all remember for the rest of our live, that this was something that will be in all of our history books and what we will tell our grandchildren...that was the one day I watched TV all day in school, something I had wanted to do my whole life...though the circumstance was not what I had hoped for :(
