Do anyone of you remember old ASL? I am curious how many of you do remember old ASL? :fruit:

When I meet elder deaf people then I happen to sign that was old ASL but they still sign NEW ASL though so we use new ASL mostly. Sometimes, they do ask me for which ASL is that one old or new when they forget. LOL

I rememebr there is a video of elder guy showing how difference to sign between old ASL vs new ASL. I am still searching for it. If you have one, please post it here.

Thanks!

I know the video you are talking about, with the old guy in his living room explaining in an interview, but I can't find it.
Here is another old signs video though, from NAD, when they made these long ago.

I love the old videos. I just can't watch them too long at a time, especially with the ones with the wavy background; I begin to feel a little sea sick. :giggle:

It's interesting how the sign for DEAF has evolved.

I still see some of the old ASl at the deaf club here cuz we have a lot of old-timers (in their 80's+) who still stop by.
