A spell is being cast over Redding California.......

The war drums of hatred against Redding California's poor and homeless reached a new fevered pitch with this radio interview. A growing spirit and fanning of flames that can only lead to violence and physical assault of a very vulnerable segment of our society.

If you are looking to restore ones faith in humanity move on unless your are interested in old "Budweiser Clydesdales that have paid their debt to society."

It is interesting to note that no arrests for this fire mentioned have been made, and their is no proof that a homeless person is responsible for the fire in question. You certainly cant tell though as the rabid homeless hatred diatribe goes on and on.

Redding California has done a good job criminalizing the homeless, driving homeless populations to the city limits, where brush and trees are thicker, and the fuel loads are greater.

Please note again how they poo poo positive solutions to the homeless issue, such as the homeless day center in its early developmental stages.

It is this writers opinion that the only so called solution being preached in this interview is public vigilantism, really suggesting going out into the brush and telling the homeless you have no right to exist or live. There have been suggestions to a Redding city councilperson that baseball bats should be taken out to them as well to emphasize this sentiment.

If this kind of hatred against your fellow man and "least of the brethren" does not sit well with you by all means PLEASE leave a comment on this blog ...

You have post this since 2006 with only 36 posts so far. I have not heard from you, RLF.
It has been a long time now that you post it.

So someone on the radio made a comment on the interview about the fire thought to be caused by the homeless people in Redding, California. So there were no proof of who started the fire in Redding.

I don't like that people in Redding, even you might have hate the homeless just because they are down on their luck and also might be abandoned from the hospital being forced to survive out in the streets. They have no where to go and you blamed them for being homeless when they could not get help for themselves. That is why they need shelters and a place for them to go when needed like food and water and place to sleep safe.

You don't know the plight of the homeless people. There might be someone who set the fires just to blame the homeless. Oh, don't forget that the media can paint the bad things about the homeless, too. You have to look at the evidence from investigators. :(

Please note again how they poo poo positive solutions to the homeless issue, such as the homeless day center in its early developmental stages.
That's not a solution. That's a stop gap. The important thing is to PREVENT homelessness in the FIRST place!

I like those video about the man and his family who were homeless struggling to survive. I hope they went to a family shelter where they can be safe. If not, then that is really bad for the family to be out in the streets. :(
