Ok, I've had this weird dream several times by now. I'm lying down and my little finger or arm is very numb. It is totally dark so there is nothing I can go by visually. I fumble around for my cell phone to my right side side and bring it up to my right ear and I flip it open. Soon I hear the buzz of the phone as I dial someone and then I hear call for help as someone's SUV overturned and I'm still lying there with my numb body part, then I start hearing voices and I realize it's up to me to find the in the dark and when I almost find them, I wake up.

This dream is really weird as there is very litte color and I have to go by touch and there are only voices in the dream. I'm not sure what to make of that.

The main theme seems to be sense of helplessness, numb arm, can't see in the dark, etc,
you specificly mention you put the phone to your right ear, the one without the CI, that's interesting.

For me, in odd dreams only the emotional components are of any significance. you've only had your CI for a few months, are you feeling pressured to do things you couldn't do before the CI that you find you can't do because even with a CI you're still deaf?

It may not have anything to do with hearing or your CI. Is there something going on in your life that makes you feel like you're not good enough, but not because you don't try or don't care?

I had a weird dream recently as well, but I can't remember the last time I had a reoccurring dream

Perhaps a suppressed worry over not being able to function in an emergency?

That's an interesting dream! I am the queen of bizarre dreams but they don't usually recur except the time when I was pregnant and every dream was a 3 hour action movie special where I was being chased everywhere by men with guns. It got boring. The dreams stopped after I gave birth.

Sorry I don't have an interpretation but Jillio's looks quite a reasonable stab. In real life I did use my cell phone to call an emergency number once when we came across a car on fire on the freeway. I wasn't much use though as I couldn't remember where the nearest turn offs were for location.
