On October 10th of this year, a legendary Surf Photographer, Larry "Flame" Moore passed away after a 3 year battle with brain cancer. he was 56. he spent almost 30 years photographing surfers for Surfing Magazine (www.surfingthemag.com)
Now i didn't know Flame personally. but i did email him asking for advice on surf photography and he did email me back. he was very informative, as well as extremely friendly. and he seemed happy that someone asked him for help. along with emailing him, ive enjoyed his surf photos since i was a kid.
He died two months after receiving the Lifetime Achievment Award.
Surfers around the world grieve this loss, we have lost a brother, and he will be missed. He leaves behind a wife and a son.
In memory of Flame, i would like to share with u some of his pictures that he took over his 56 years on earth. Enjoy.

this is my favorite picture. this was in California, i believe. In Memory of Flame, surfers gathered to paddle out and make a circle in the ocean to remember Flame. i especially like the fact that a Rainbow appeared while they were out there.
Thanks for the memories and the photos Flame. You were truly a big part of surfing, and you will go down in the books of surfing history among the legends.
