Question: Is a sense of humor really importance?

I'll answer.

To me, it's not matter. I don't understand why many people must to have a lover who have a good/best sense of humor. What if some people are not good at sense of humor? Will you reject them out? To me, that's just silly. IMO
 
I think it important because if you get in fight with boyfriend or husband, later then look back and think how silly it was.
 
excellent question. Having a sense of humor is #1 requirement in anybody I'm with - friend, lover, etc. Why? Good question.... I don't know why.... I'll have to delve on it

Will you refuse date a person if he/she have a little or nothing at all?

I would date person who have lack of sense of humor if i wanted to. It depend on person
 
I honestly tell you guys that I have very little sense of humor, yet I know how to cheer people up. That depends, really. :dunno2:
 
Humor of Sense is most importance to relationship. However I get in bad mood. My husband know how to cheer me up and playing around with me. His humor of sense talking make me laugh so hard. It will make me feel better. I can be humor of sense sometime. I made my husband laugh so hard. He think I am funny and cute talk.

sure why not. I've had a few friends who lack sense of humor. Normally - it does not jive with me well but somehow... it did.

As for dating.... I'd prefer somebody with a sense of humor... I mean you gotta laugh sometimes, right? If she's like a robot, forget it. It's not going to work out for me.
 
I put it was the most importance. Too many things can go wrong in life, and you need to be able to laugh and get over it.

So, am I a "robot" too? Not quite so. Just because of a person who have no or a little sense of humor that's not mean he/she is automatically like a 'bot. He/she CAN cheer a person up without or with a sense of humor. Yes, there is an another way to heal a pain of feeling WITHOUT it..

IF YOU ARE REALLY prefer a friend who have a good/best sense of humor, WHY the earth are you befriended me for? Well, I wonder why I did befriend you too. Gee, it look like a lot AD'ers prefer AD'ers have a good/best sense of humor. I already feel very unwelcome to AllDeaf... totally.

Sense of humour in yourself is very important in life, but I have noticed that this thread is in part of the dating life. Sense of humor is important in part of the 5 important things. Can you guess the other 4?
 
To me, sense of humor is important in my relationship due to happiness and makes things more spotaneous (keeps things going). It would be boring if someone didn't understand my jokes or what I was saying in sense.

Try not to feel bad. I did not know you were asking if we thought you needed a sense of humor. I thought you meant in general. I was not judging you for your sense of humor or lack of one. Sorry if you thought that.

you laughed, smiled, cheered up... therefore you are not a robot. A robot would be somebody who.... has no emotion - does not laugh, smile, and have a little to say. So don't worry. you are OK! Your sense of humor is there. :cool2:

I think you misunderstood me - I can be friend with someone who has little or no sense of humor. I said that I prefer to have someone with sense of humor in bf-gf relationship because it relieves tension, anger, and some other stuff.
 
Having a sense of humor can also be a sign of one's intelligence.

The less a person knows, the less likely he will understand complex jokes.

I see jokes all the time in movies. While the jokes are not direct, I get the humor behind it.

The same goes for those spoof television shows and movies. One good example would be Family Guy. That show has a lot of spoofs.

When I watch Family Guy, I'm familiar with the satirical references throughout the show... but I do know a few people who don't understand the show much. They don't follow current events, sports, movies, television shows, comics, or anything... so they're missing out a lot.

I'm glad that I'm not alone..

Sense of humor isnt really important to me.

There is only one thing i want from lover is honestly..

I want to know the truth.. Then I'll trust my future lover.. (to me I dont trust someone one without honest)

I can't imagine couple without sense of humor. It make them lifeless and busy, my opinion.
 
I wouldn't have to worry about not dating soemone with a sense of humor, because I am not attracted to people without a sense of humor.
