I wonder anyone of your child's cord in frozen in future any disease can unexpect come to their love one in their life to get treatment instead on waiting list to get treat?

If you do have one, can you share information?

My FEAR is... once the business went out and what will happen to that cord?

It something I am little bit concerned.. any advise would help to us...

I've been told by the doctors that it's a trick...so I wouldn't listen to anyone that's advertising the cord blood bank

I was told they use the cord for research without your permission...hence sending it to a "bank."

I believe there is a consented requirement to cord cell donation that is supposed to offered by OBGYN physicians in US. I don't work Labor and Delivery, but I can ask my mom who does.

Also, everybody, please note:
With progression of research, and education to all possible mothers in the interest in their own children and family; it does not harm the infant and mother in any way to consent to cord blood specimen donation. With current and future advances in DNA science/ genetic signatures with many diseases, you may in fact contribute to saving another's or even a family member's life.

Please do note, my statement is based on current documentations and my own educated opinion with regards to medicinal advancements.

Mmmm...

If it is trick or fake. How do we have to "waiting" for donor of that group develop to match blood type for child to recovery.

I am not concerned about me being hearing again.

It about technology that develop and frighten at same time due the gene has passed. Since I just learned from my doctor about my hands, but I am okay with it but just.. image if there technology that they can recover from my hand and again is not 100 percent cure due it long treatment...

My biggest fear is when the business went out and the blood core will donor or throw away... that what I am fear and asking suggest about this...

I'm just informing you what the Ob/GYN doctor has told me and my husband when I was pregnant with my son in 2005/2006..... You may just want to be cautions about it....

but just to let you know, after you give birth, the afterbirth is taken to the lab (the hospital's lab you have given birth in) and stored for a year incase your baby has problems or has suddenly passed away. If the baby has problems or suddenly passed away, they look in the afterbirth (placenta) to see what went wrong. But they only keep it for a year and throw it away after a year went by if your baby didn't have any health problems.

my mom is also nurse but im sure she know about cord blood

IF i had my own children somedays i should have my permit to using cord blood dues history of my family include heart, strokes, cancer and sezuire! but im been sezuire when i was 12 years old i have to thinking about cord blood for my own kids somedays but dont be rushed IF our doctors says OK to using cord blood and also ob/gyn doctors to agreed it!

mmm.. interesting that part that I wasn't aware... within one year still sound sticky...

About the placenta.. They were thinking about that placenta instead of blood core due placenta has plenty than the blood core..

I recently used CBR (Cord Blood Registry) to bank cord blood for my baby. Was very happy with their service. It's a very valuable insurance. Glad that I did it for my baby. Not that I am hoping to ever need it. But if God Forbid that my family will ever need it, I will thank myself for having done it.

Before I enrolled, I looked online for coupons everywhere. I found a coupon code M9999 and it saved me $250! Anything that saves money helps!

I used this rep whose name is Jonathan Jair. He was extremely nice and helpful. He was the reason that I chose CBR. His number is 1-888-932-6568 ext. 366. Military and medical professionals get additional discounts, so do not forget to ask him about the special discounts, if you do decide to bank!
