jillo, just wondering does the research also reflect what you see with the kids you see in therapy? I attended the Clarke School for the Deaf's Mainstream conference and they were parrotting the SAME shit they did when me, shel, bajagirl and many other mainstreamers were in the system.
I really wonder.....I know back during IDEA(in 1974) they saw a lot of kids coming out of Deaf/Blind schools...That population did REALLY well b/c they had a base of specialized skills, and also had relationship skills from being at a specialized school. But subsequent genertationsdidn't have that advantage
