I have a question. In preparing our children for college, we must speak bilingual for college requirements. I know you raise your children with sign language (second language) in English (first language) or via versa?
My question is; why do we need certificates in sign language (bilingual) to prove it?
My son has this problem now entering UF and is currently taking Spanish as a quick solution by registeration date. If I had only known he needed this, I would have taken him to classes as a young child. And that's not to say the private sign classes provide the credits the college requires.
Okay, I think the HOH or deaf can not relate to a forgein language (bilingual) , right?
What do you think about this?
