Hi everyone,
I'm new and I'm from Singapore. I'm in the States for a year on an exchange program. I just had a frustrating experience of trying to buy a cochlear nuclear rechargeable battery and a battery holder online but was turned away because,
"Due to FDA regulations you must be registered as a patient with a clinic in
the US or Canada for us to be able to ship items to you. Please let us know
if you have questions or concerns."
This is incredibly frustrating because I'm not a cochlear patient with any clinic in America or Canada simply because I was implanted in my home country. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?
I've grown to really depend on my implant and it's been a nightmare since I lost my rechargable battery -and- my disposable battery holder within a week of arriving in the States.
