Hi, currently I have a Natura 2 SE from Sonic Innovations. One of my hearing aid is dying due to age and use, well at least I would think so, I used it for around 10 years (take off a year or two). Said hearing aid seems weak (such as weak feedback and I can barely hear any amplification).

Since my lifestyle needs me to be able to hear very well, can anyone recommend me a new model? I was thinking of getting a Velocity.

That depends on your hearing loss degree on type

I'm not sure what you mean by type.. I was born with it. My audiologist tells me it's "serious". That much I can tell you.

If you have serious hearing loss and your lifestyle needs you to hear well, then maybe you need a new lifestyle  jk

Everyone!

Hold and check out Ameriplan before you pay for hearing aids. You can seriously save money!!! If anyone is interested, I will gladly check it out for you.

Heh, according to this I'll be needing the "On The Go!" hearing aids.

Well it seems to have a lot of features and quite a high price.

I see a 3 year warranty. If your audiologist recommends it surely it must be right.

It looks good but I wonder if anyone has experience with it and if there is any comparison.

This is the information on my hearing aids from Siemens, the manufacturer of my hearing aids. So far I am very happy with them.

"Siemens CIELO 2 SP BTE
The CIELO 2 SP has all the great features of the CIELO 2 family of hearing aids and includes a pushbutton and volume control for maximum adjustability. This is the most powerful CIELO 2 BTE hearing aid for severe to profound losses. All the top of the line CIELO 2 features like 6 channels to match your hearing loss accurately, directional microphones proven to be the most effective way to hear better in noise, digital noise reduction that really works to reduce background noise, automatic feedback cancellation and more features for the best hearing possible."

AmeriPlan is a 16 yr old debt free company that specializes in discount dental and medical programs that save members a lot of money. When you buy hearing aids from a provider in the network, and you are an AmeriPlan member, then you save a lot of money.

With Ameriplan, you can even get your braces done for half the going amount. Just find a Dr. that accepts AmeriPlan.

I sign up people who want to get Ameriplan. Or people who want to work from home for Ameriplan and make money.

With Ameriplan, I can go to the hospital and have an advocate step in and start reducing my bills if it is over $2,500.

Ameriplan is NOT insurance but a lot cheaper than traditional insurance. You'd pay the maximum of $59.59 amonth for everything you like in that package vs. hundreds of dollars for procedures you may not need that month or any other month.

I'd look at Oticon Epoq's (depending upon your hearing loss) or the Resound Azure. Phonak has good aids, but their company is going through some serious restructuring. Siemens aids are extremely good, but there current offerings are old (except the Pure's). The Cielo 2, Artis 2, and Centra are near 18mos old now. I've had great success fitting Oticon, Siemens, and Resound.
