Hard to predict, depends on who the owner of that vette, its production number and how many were produced.
If it was owned by famous guy or has some sort of legendary on it then bid over half million is possible. But if it is owned by average joe, with nothing special then you may be right.
History relationship, depends on how valuable does make difference.
Edit: I just read the whole news, oh it is going to be hard to get high bid, half million dollars? I really doubt it! Average joe that won the prize, usually these cars don't appreciate much.
But hey, I am not exactly a car guy, I m pretty much truck or SUV guy and I am drooling at my friend who had 92 F-350 with over 2 million miles, 4 door crew cab, long bed, manual, everything works, and it runs on Diesel the last of the last 100% mechanically driven system, no electronic control of any kind on engine or tranny, and no turbo! And the best part is, zero rust!
Only small problem he will always have… impossible to start at sub zero temp, will struggling start below 30 degrees that is, if he forgot to plug in heater core.
Wow, I have a feeling this Vette will not sold at $500K. Maybe sold for $250K. Rear suspension design on that, are real horrible, you can not adjust cambers in the rear then you will find bad rear differential carrier unit because they doesn't have upper control arms, just two half-shafts to support the rear knuckles and maintains camber well. I like new Vette better.
