I am curious... which would you rather use the website by video or by text?

Like would you rather read text instead of video when reading about opinions and events?

Under what circumstances would video be preferable?

I personally prefer text because it lets me scan at my own pace while videos can be so time consuming and can waste my time.. it's like "Get to the point" if the signer rambles too long.

I perfer text over videos, you have the valid point, but there's more than one point, the person in the video might sign too fast, crappy video recording, too long etc.
 
I prefer read the website by text. Because reading the website text on blackberry will be easier than watching video on tiny screen.
 
Sex-text, especially w jiro. Oh wait, you mean the news, oh yea text all the way. I read very quickly.

Text for me. I don't even use video relay. Vid's have their uses but I prefer getting as much clear info as possible. That's why I get pissed at CNN cuz their video news thumbs look intersting but I can't get squat out of it and besides the videos look like it is all talked over anyway.
 
Text just because that's how most sites I use are.

It would require a hella lot more bandwidth to do video...not so interested in slow.

Depends.... I'm working on a news site that is incorporating professionally done videos.. it's been receiving awesome reviews.
 
news? I read daredevil's posts for news. on daily basis. Her posts make People, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Vogue, and Fox News altogether look like a kid's bedtime story.
 
Text have strong PRO than video
Why? We able to rewind quick than being hassel by click to rewind and unable to make specs to pause there where we want to see.

Don't we usually skip several worthless paragraph when it's necessary?

Captioned videos. Because my ASL leaves alot to be desired and I wish it didn't :(
Text for Relay because I read better than I sign. I soo wish that wasn't true but I am working on it. ASl captioned vidoes help me work on it.
