Tylor - tried to PM you this but it didn't work (said something about space) but do feel free to PM me back.  This is an intense problem I am running into and any insight or advice or any thoughts you might have would be much appreciated.   I don't think police department gets how to treat people with auditory problems...  I do very much respect what they do, and what police officers do in general.  It is a tough job that I don't think I could do and I am so grateful for.  You all run into the danger and protect the rest of us as we run away - Thank you for that.  The officers in the town where I live now have actually been great about dealing with my auditory problem.  That just is not the case with this police department of the town I used to live in and I just want this problem resolved.  Any advice or insight you might be able to give as a law enforcement officer would be great.   I'm not sure what info is most helpful to know.  The most urgent aspect of their misunderstanding of my auditory problem is that they do believe, as they have apparently stated, that I am the only one who uses relay and so they attribute all internet relay calls to me, apparently even when I do not live there and the relay caller adamantly asserts that they are not me.  Since the calls can not be traced (I wish they could) they can't actually tell from their call trace system where the call is comming from (at least I don't think they can - I wish they could).  They did apparently tell someone else who called them the other day that they could not unless they sent an officer to the location where the caller was but just as they were giving them their address the police transffered them to a voicemail that the relay operator could not even relay because it was too fast...  Either way, I am kind of stuck right now because I do not know how to get it across to them that OTHER people use relay, not just me.  Even I rarely use it because of injury to my hands...   The most important thing I wish they would understand and that I could somehow show them is that I am NOT calling them and especially that I am NOT calling alleging I am other people!  I am not only not doing that but I have no ability to do that, no reason to do that, nothing to gain from doing that... and yet every time they get a relay call from SOMEONE ELSE, they contact me angry because they assuming that the call was from me, when it was not.   I dunno what to do.  Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with this?  How can I get this across to them?  How can I show them it is not me?  Why are they assuming it is me?  Why don't they understand other people use relay?  Are there any ways for these officers to trace these relay calls to the real people who are calling so they stop getting so angry at me, espeically when I am living 70 miles away and not calling them?  How am I supposed to make no one call them over relay so they stop getting angry at me and threatening me? I can nonly change what I do - not everyone else's!!!  I'm not just concerned about them being mad at me, but for those who are calling them and are apparently treated like they are me...  I can't imgaine that is helping anyone (not the police, not the caller(s), not me....)  I dunno even how to approach all of this or what I can do....

Anyhow, sorry about rambling on but any advice or insight you might have would be wonderful.  Thanks.
